Marketing intern at CopenX

During my studies as a marketing manager, I was required to attend an internship for a semester at a company - My chosen company was a young start-up company named CopenX whose main business strategy was to set up conferences and events about technology. Some of my jobs included conducting market research, writing emails, implementing AI, setting up ads, etc. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt at the end of my stay, so a lot of the initiatives never went through although I learned a lot about what processes that comes with running a business.

Korea, Seoul

I was in Seoul, Korea where I was doing a semester abroad doing my marketing management studies. Korea was an amazing experience, where I was exposed to a completely foreign culture from what I was used to, both educationally and in everyday living situations. I went alone, which forced me to make brand-new friendships and connections with people from all around the world and it ended up being a great choice since I still keep contact with some of these people. The college experience was quite different from what I was used to in Denmark, with a much higher degree of campus engagement, attendee checks, different types of exams, etc. Also, I was fortunate enough to have conversations with a couple of Korean companies regarding the importation of a Faroese beverage which unfortunately did not happen, but the experience was valuable.

Fish Factory worker at Pelagos

Faroe Islands

The job was mostly sorting fish and maintenance at a fish factory in the Faroe Islands. We worked 12-hour shifts with no weekends, so it taught me a lot about discipline, hard work, and consistency. It was also an interesting experience, trying to work in the primary industry and to see where ones food comes from.
